I mean that both in the sense that the monster-fighting monster is awesome and that, as the king of all kaiju, he technically lords over them.
That being the case, this visual effects breakdown (via io9) is a great watch because it makes it easier to understand the staggering amount of work that went into bringing the latest iteration of the classic monster to life.
